That’s why the Flux eBikes caught our attention. Coming off a wildly successful Indiegogo campaign that raised over 1.6 million USD, they are actually quite pleasant on the eye, while packing some serious heat in the speed and range department. A 25 mph top speed and range of 46 miles are very respectable. What’s more it costs just 7 cents to charge up!
To top it off, the 13A or 17A integrated batteries are the same Panasonic cells as in the Tesla S. Now that’s some seriously cool tech! The batteries are cleverly integrated into the frame and while noticeable are not overly bulky or unsightly.
The 250W Bofeili Mid-Drive Motor linked with Shimano derailleur and a 9 speed cassette provide up to a claimed 3 times the torque of conventional bikes. The backlit display keeps you updated about battery levels, speed, range left and more. There is a USB port to charge your phone as well.
The brakes haven’t been ignored – you get Tektro hydraulic disc brakes with power cut-off. There are 3 models to choose from – the Roadster, Trail and the Attack. The Attack comes with the larger capacity 17A battery and gets rear air shocks.
